The First face-to-face talk Between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin was held, on the sidelines of the G20 summit in the German city of Hamburg. Mr Trump said to Mr. Putin, "It's an honour to be with you," and Mr. Putin replied, "I'm delighted to meet you personally." It was reported that these World leaders had a very long discussion session.
"Putin and I have been discussing various things, and I think it's going very well," Mr Trump said this to nearby reporters before they commenced an open discussion. "We've had some very, very good talks. We're going to have a talk now and obviously that will continue. We look forward to a lot of very positive things happening for Russia, for the United States and for everybody concerned."

Mr Putin, also expressed through a translator that their phone conversations weren't as pleasant as the face to face talk. Both Men ignored shouted questions from reporters as the meeting went into private session. This was Mr. Putin's comment afterwards "I've had a very long conversation with the US president. We had a lot of issues to discuss, including Ukraine, Syria, and other problems, also some bilateral issues. "We have again returned to the fight against terror and to cyber security."

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson agreed to the fact that they really had great topics discussed.
But the two sides seem unable to agree on the exact outcome of talks over the Russian hacking allegations. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Mr Trump accepted Mr Putin's assertions that they were not true. Mr Tillerson, meanwhile, said the two men had had a "robust" discussion on the issue during the two hour and 15 minute meeting, and that Mr Trump had pressed the Russian leader on several occasions. However, he expressed his opinion by saying he doesn't really think that the both countries are really going to work as a strongly bonded team. The US ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley said the US "can't trust Russia" and "won't ever trust Russia".
